Hoosier Park Stakes Light Up the Night

Don't Get Mad finally got his "Derby" win in the 11th Indiana Derby this Saturday night at Hoosier Park. The 3-year-old Stephen Got Even colt started out this year on the Kentucky Derby trail where he finished 4th to Giacomo. After the Run for the Roses he won the Grade III Northern Dancer Breeder's Cup before finishing 5th in the Grade II Swaps and 4th in the Grade I Travers. Trained by Ron Ellis and owned by B. Wayne Hughes Don't Get Mad has a record of 5-1-1 in 11 lifetime starts and earnings of $790,400.

Flying Glitter won Friday night's 11th Indiana Oaks at Hoosier Park. The 3-year-old Glitterman daughter scored her 4th consecutive victory. On June 6 she won an allowance at Churchill Downs and a month later scored in the $72,000 Heavenly Cause. On August 14 she won the Grade III Monmouth Breeder's Cup Oaks as a prep for this victory. She has a record of 5-1-2 in 10 lifetime starts and earnings of $486,111. She is trained by Ronny W. Werner and owned by Nancy R. and Richard S. Kaster.
