Sulamani finished up a stellar racing campaign like the champion he is, winning the Canadian International Stakes-G1 at Woodbine. Under a patient ride by Frankie Dettori, Sulamani rallied from the back of the pack to win under a hand ride. The globetrotting five-year-old had previously won the Juddmonte International Stakes-G1 in 2004.

Last year, Sulamani took three Grade 1 races: the Dubai Sheema Classic, the Arlington Million (via disqualification) and the Turf Classic, before wrapping up his campaign with a fifth place effort in the Breeders' Cup Turf.

Bred by the Niarchos family, Sulamani, who also won the French Derby, campaigned in the Godolphin silks, and will stand at Dalham Hall Stud for approximately $12,820. The son of Hernando is also a half-brother to French Derby and Irish Derby victor Dream Well. Sulamani's career was completed with a final tally 17: 9-3-1, six of those wins coming at the Grade/Group 1 level, with earnings of more than $5 million.
