Saturday, May 14, Greeley's Galaxy breezed five fuurlongs in 1.00:20 for the bullet on a sloppy Churchill Downs track. On Sunday, May 15, High Limit breezed five furlongs in 1.00:20 at Churchill Downs for the bullet work of the day. He finished last in the Kentucky Derby but had a rough trip and came out with some bumps and bruises. The Frankel-trainee is headed to the Preakness this Saturday.

Monday, May 16 saw quite a few post-Kentucky Derby workouts at Churchill Downs. 18th place finisher Going Wild breezed five furlongs in 1.01:40; he is running in the Preakness. Zito's Sun King (15th) breezed five furlongs in 1.01:20 and Noble Causeway (14th) went the same distance in 1.02:60. At Santa Anita, 5th place finisher Buzzards Bay breezed four furlongs in 47:40 and Kiaran McLaughlin's second place finisher Closing Argument breezed four furlongs in 49:03 at Belmont Park.

On Tuesday, May 17, Kentucky Derby winner Giacomo breezed four furlongs in 51:80. Trainer John Shirreffs has been saying all along that the horse would show what kind of training he needed, he originally wasn't going to breeze so don't worry over the slow time. Exercise rider Frankie Herrarte was very pleased with the work and is confident in his horse's chance in the Preakness. Sixth place finisher Wilko also breezed at Churchill Downs today, four furlongs in 50:60. Zito's High Fly went four furlongs in 50:20.

Roman Ruler, the son of Fusaichi Pegasus who was an early Triple Crown favorite until finishing last as the 3-1 favorite in the March 19 San Felipe Stakes has returned to the work tab at Santa Anita. On Wednesday, May 11 he returned with a three furlong work in :35.60 and on Monday, May 16 he went four furlongs in :48.40. Both works were on a fast dirt track and listed as handily.
